21 Day Fix Paleo: Day 5

This morning was rough, mentally.  I was definitely questioning my decision and life choices...  And then I talked to a friend, made some plans, and I was back in the game, better than ever.

Breakfast:
Vegan Chocolate Shakeology, 8 oz unsweetened vanilla almond milk, unsweetened coconut flakes, ice.  Mixed berries with drizzled honey.
1 Red, 1 Yellow, 1 Orange, 1 Purple.

Snack:
Coffee and coconut oil.  Carrots.
1 tsp, 1 Green

Lunch:

2 egg omelet with hot sauce and 1/2 avocado.  Steamed broccoli and carrots with coconut oil and sea salt.
1 Red, 1 Blue, 1 Red, 1 tsp

Snack:
Apple, banana
2 Purple

Dinner:
Grassfed beef, lightly seasoned.  Sweet potato.  Green beans with coconut oil and sea salt.
1 Red, 1 Yellow, 1 Green, 1 tsp

Snack:
Chilled coffee and Chocolate Vegan Shakeology
1 Red

I ended up with an extra Purple and an extra tsp today.  The almond milk yellow isn't a perfect match, since it isn't solid food, so it makes sense that I'd need an extra little something.  I carefully thought about and added the banana to my plan, since my stomach was literally hurting and I needed a bit of sugar and carbs.

Just a reminder to please listen to your body!  Cutting calories and exercising hard WILL work, but only if you're smart about it, right?

Workout:
Today was Cardio Fix.  No weights, just cardio.  Holy cow, it's intense!  I pushed myself hard and felt wiped out and great when it was over.  Burpees, mountain climbers, back lunges... it was definitely all the right things!

I can't believe I've almost made it through the first week!  Tomorrow I will meal plan for the upcoming week AND do my best to plan for my short trip out of town Monday and Tuesday.  I have no idea right now what I will do about it, but I'll figure it out tomorrow and shop for whatever snacks and take-along food I can.
