Transformation Tuesday




I love this transformation photo, because it shows that I WASN'T unhappy with myself before... I had two beautiful daughters (the one I was holding was about 16 months old, the other just 2 months old) and a wonderful life. I LOVED pregnancy and felt such a strong purpose that came with it, and with motherhood.
But I was so unhealthy! I had let myself go the route of most new moms; I took great care of my kids but had no energy left for myself!
Little by little, I got there. With the help of a bunch of failed workout programs and diets that didn't work, I finally found the right combination: cutting out processed foods, eating fresh fruits, veggies and lean proteins, drinking more water, being more active.
It wasn't an exact science, but when I started making time for myself, I did start feeling better! And the side effect to being healthier was that the weight came off.
The after photo is me last week, with my "baby" and once again, I'm smiling and happy. But this time, I'm healthy smile emoticon
